Innovation based on an old process

The novel production process is based on a comparison with backing bread. The first ist make a dough of sawdust, starch and water, which then is foamed either mechanically or by using microorganisms like yeast. Like bread, this paste can be dried in an oven, resulting in a hard material similar to crackers or crispbread with properties comparable to chipboard. The iwood panels, produced without chemicals just on a natural base, can be used in the furniture and the building industry. iwood panels have been turned successfully into carbonised and ceramicised panels which are good for high temperature insulation panels or for filters.
